giving and receiving...

So I just thought I would share with you how ridiculously spoilt I was on Christmas Day. Firstly, a few days prior I found out that I was accepted in to WAAPA for singing in the contemporary music course. woooo. You may have remembered when I mentioned it in the past, but admittedly i was a little skeptical about discussing it too much just in case I didn't get in. haha. But YAY I'm in. So that was an amazing start to Christmas. So on top of that, the day was so lovely being with my family and eating glorious Italian foods! But I just haddd to show you how amazing all of my gifts were. I think I took more photos of them than anything else. Warning. Don't get too jealous! hehe...

from my family (the shoes were exchanged with the oxfords bellow. a bit too small)
 cosmetic goodness
 from bella and jordan :)
marc jacobs jellies and nylon oxfords
 post christmas shopping
my favourite bag in the world right now. lolla palooza makes some amazing leather goodies!

I think I can safely say that I was spoilt, just like every other Christmas! yay. Hope you all were given the things you wished for and had an amazing day giving out looove to everyone!

Christmas Day

Such an amazing day. Food, family and sooo many presents. It really, honestly doesn't get any better! A few photos of the display of tasty goodies and overload of presents...

Hope you had an amazing day. And thank you Jesus for everything you have done for us - and happy birthday!!

alannah hill

She is, safe to say, the pinacle of femininity. Alannah Hill sure knows how to rock the belted bows, floral chiffon, lace tights, and oversized jewelled headbands at the one time. I've never seen anything quite like it really. This season's ad campaign is to die for also. So I thought I'd share with you. A few things are on my wishlist this Christmas. And the model happens to be a girl that my sister went to school with in Bunbury, which probably adds to my ever so high rating of these beautiful photos. Enjoy...

a new year rising...

So many people are doing rather exciting things over these Christmas/New Years holidays and jet setting for the new year. But not me. Little old me is just staying in little old Perth. I'm desperate to travel to New York and Paris and just go shopping!!! You don't even understand how much I dream of travelling the world. It happens daily. My friend Rachel has kindly decided to travel for me. She left for Ireland on Sunday. She gets to go to Top Shop and Urban Outfitters darn it! And enjoy amazing scenery, castles and snow. Honestly it's just amazing. Before she left we spent most of our time together and realised we had about 2 photos together throughout our entire friendship, so we went crazy in the bathroom mirror (as pictured above). I never thought of Ireland as a dream destination, but I think she's convinced me!

So yesterday my sisters and I did some sort of 'photoshoot' so we could print it out and get some photos framed for my parents. I at first thought it was a bit of a vain present, but I guess parents like their kids, and we do have a huge blank white wall that is just waiting for an assortment of frames, so we are starting the wall! Above is me 'behind the scenes' of all the wild photography action. And bellow is just one of the photos. It is so darn hard to get 4 girls happy with how we ALL look at the one time in the one photo. Aye aye aye. Well happy holiday photo-ing everyone...

carine roitfield...

Someone is about to get their dream job, as Carine has resigned and will be stepping down from her position as of January. I can't imagine trying to take over form this woman and the heights she has taken the magazine. Without a doubt she is the trendiest 56 year old in France, and probably the world. I do hope she goes on to work in a Fashion house somewhere or continues to style, or even create a label of her own. Perhaps she could start with oversized glasses and fur coats. If only you could wear a fur coat in Perth. It just never gets that cold. Her daughter Julia I have to say, is the luckiest girl in the world. No hesitation and no exaggeration - she is...

the madness...

Mad for two reasons. 1. I'm going mad because I can't get the darn video to load on here. grrrr. and 2. I've been madly Christmas shopping. I forget how time consuming it is, unless you're certain I'd average about 1 hour per present. minimum. So, here's an outfit from yesterday. I spent more than 3 hours in the Claremont Quarter park. I always said to myself how reasonable 3 hours free parking was, because who would possibly be shopping in Claremont for that long. But I disproved myself, and to discover once you breach that limit it can get rather costly. mm....

Wearing: Staple top, Hussy shorts, RMK sandals, Mimco bag.

Happy Christmas shopping!

metalic eyes...

So I've made a makeup video. yay. and this one actually worked. However i'm still having amateur technological troubles. So for now here's a look at the makeup, and the video shall soon follow. Oh Lordy, I hope it does!

btw. this is what i wore. the top is handmade and the shorts are thrifted. makes for a cheap outfit.
and any other makeups you would like let me know (provided this whole video thing works). i now have a little more time on my hands to edit etc :)

grad dins...

So it's been a while. A few hectic things going on. (For starters, my little sister maxing out the internet usage again.) I've been in Bunbury as I said in my last post. Helping my dad move his shop into a brand new shop. It was lots of hard work, and so many darn things going wrong it's a wonder his head hasn't exploded. I've actually never seen anyone have so many questions thrown at him at once as my dad. Literally he needs to hide when (if) he eats lunch so he can finish it! He's a great man :)
So anyway I'm right getting in to Christmas now, and what the heck, I can't even believe how close it is. Looks to me like I'll be a mad Christmas shopper running around on Christmas eve. There's something about the Christmas shopping madness that kind of appeals to me however, so maybe I just might leave the shopping till very last! We put up our tree while listening (more singing on my behalf) to Mariah Carey's christmas CD. So good!
Another thing, I auditioned for WAAPA. For those of you who don't understand what that is - Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. It's Australia's best music school actually, and they go to every state to auditioned. Last year only 10 people from the whole of Australia were accepted in to the Contemporary Music Course (which is what I auditioned for, majoring in singing!) So I'll keep you posted on how that goes, fingers crossed and hands together I'll get in. Then this can become a famous lady's blog and you'll all be my faithful blog followers forever. awww. well, next thing...

I graduated form Bible College last week, with a Cert IV in youth ministry. YAY. It was really nice to be finished this year and thinking about amazing things for the future, yet I was so sad to be leaving that place. There's just the best people there and it's such a nice place to be. On Thursday night we had our graduation dinner and these are just a couple of photos with one my good friends, Zac, from after actually haha. And this dress was only $60!!

Be sure to hear from me soon. xx
