tony bianco, thank you...

So yesterday I was in the city and trying to find some black heels to replace the not quite so high anymore Tony Biancos from a couple of years ago! Well I finally found a pair that were sufficient, and only $50
(that was my justification for buying them even though I wasn't in love with them!) Turns out however they were the last in the factory and they made a mistake - they were both left feet. Really what are the chances?
So I quickly moved hopeful to find another pair of black suede platform stilettos. And to my surprise there was nothing quite right. Until on the way out of the store Bella (my dear friend) spotted something from the corner of her eye, and I followed, only to find the most gorgeous pair of suede wedge booties. They are perfecto, and beats buying Jeffrey Campbell online. It was so much more of an experience to hold them in my hands and walk around the store like I was a model - come on, don't tell me you don't do that! Hehe. So the purchase was immediately made. I am excited to say the least!

Wearing:
Camilla and Marc polkadot blouse (again), staple grey dress, Leona Edmiston opaque tights, Tony Bianco wedges, Jewelery from 'Le Boudoir' and 'Claremont Accessorize' along with the tiger ring from 'Plant Video', and Mimco scarf

Unfortunately we didn't have great lighting to work with, but your get the idea.
Have a great day x

la galette de france

As a perfect start to the week, I caught up with a dear friend Monday for coffee (and pastries) well deserved after 4 years separation! We found ourselves in 'La Galette De France' in Nedlands, surrounded by white window frames and the odd eiffel tower around the place.
Theses are just some photos of my lovely afternoon. However I did forget my SLR (regardless of the fact I live about 2 minutes away) so these are from my iPhone. Not too bad I suppose. And I even used iPhone Photoshop - yeah I wouldn't recommend it, but for a phone app it's not too bad. Anyway the little photographs are cute and the experience was Francios to the say the least...

(This was off the internet. But how cute is it!)

The not-so-french purchase that allowed for 'cash out'

Monique stuck with the theme and wore her beret - what a chic chick ;)

Almond croissant - so GOOD

And if you want to check out Monique's review of un petit caffe. Then follow this link...

So if you're driving around Nedlands don't hesitate to stop - you won't be disappointed with the pastry and parisian feel to the shop. Well enjoy mon ami. Au revior..

and the leaves fell...

So, one Sunday afternoon after paying the movie theatre a visit to say goodbye to Shrek for the last time, we took a few snaps on the way home...

Wearing:
Mink Pink dress, Nudie jeans, Italian boots (can't remember the darn name), Mecca 'Celia' nail enamel, Mimco pendant, and an assortment of random jewelery.

Firstly, this park in Subiaco has to be the sweetest. Oh how I love the leaves all yellow and floating around the sky with every slight wind. Not to mention the weather was beautiful. However, the clothes...
The off the shoulder dress (that I am wearing as a top) is a perfect idea for a casual and comfortable outfit. I am learning more and more to look for simple pieces with an interesting cut or embelishment to just make them a little 'out of the ordinary', because who wants to dress the same as everybody else....right?
Oh and I really do appreciate Mink Pink. Yes they may take designs from our big fashion mammas and create close to exact versions, but I have never seen a dress of theirs over $150 which makes me excited! Thank you Mink Pink for creating quality, affordable, grooving clothing. And thank you my darling little sister for taking the photos for me :)

Well friends, enjoy frolicking through fallen leaves and have a blessed day.

here we go again...

Yes, another post on wedges.
But before you scold me for nagging on the same idea, just hear me out...
New ones this time. A couple of staple black wedges that you could probably wear with, well, everything.

'Pixie' by Jeffrey Campbell

Dolce and Gabanna practically attained perfection with these suede wedges. However it is unfortunate that we cannot all afford D&G.

Fortunately our savior (J Campbell once again) has produced a far more affordable shoe, with almost every detail the same as above. I say what a good guy.

drapery...

A few things I haven't worn in a while. Love this dress. The way it drapes and the belt jumps out like a little surprise is so much fun really. Love these boots. Perfect for those days when it seems you forgot colour existed and your entire wardrobe is black...

Wearing:
Ladakh woolen top, tato y memi dress, Scanlan and Theodore patent black belt (perfect for entirely everything), tights from somewhere (most probably IGA), boots by 2 Baia Vista (at Zomp)

Rings from: somewhere in NZ, Planet Video, Sportsgirl, and mum's pearl ring

a wedge full...

Some of my favorite ladies in a range of prices (don't be too shocked about the price when you research their whereabouts online!) So wonderful...

Acne - Atacoma Wedge

Jeffrey Campbell - Raid

Dolce and Gabana - Suede Face Wedge

Charlotte Olympia - Striped Wedge

Jeffrey Campbell - Xanadu Fur

Sam Edelman - Zoe Strapped Wedge

Jeffrey Campbell - Exam

Stella McCartney - Beige Patent Wood Wedge

This winter we are taking a far more sensible approach to the death-prone 7 inch stilettos we rocked last summer, and are coming out with some beautiful creations with just as much beauty and still illuding to long sexy legs. Paired with thigh high socks and an oversized blouse is almost perfection. If all goes to plan, soon you will see me in that vision proudly wearing a pair of Jeffrey Campbell's of my own (which I have only seemed to find online here in Perth.. hmph. We have some catching up to do WA!) Enjoy being long-legged, and on top of the world in somewhat of a literal sense.

turtle park

This long weekend my little sister and her friend were planning on taking photos for fun, and I thought what the hey I'll help them out. So I gave them some clothes and a touch of makeup and we set out on a quest to create some playful, jungle meets preppy, meets cowgirl, meets rock star type pictures (quite a task on their own I thought!) Enjoy...

Thank you dear sister Maddy and friend Steph.
Not going to lie, you're quite attractive little ladies, and my darling Cannon got a bit of a workout. First time in a while I've taken purposeful photos on that sweet thing.
Be blessed friends.

perth winter

The first official fashion post...

I'd say the perfect outfit for a sunny winters day in Perth. The contrast in the soft blouse, and the ripped grungy jeans makes for a great balance. The kind of balance I need to remain a pretty, yet rather 'funky' young lady (if you can even say that anymore.) My apologies if this first blog isn't quite outrageous, but never fear - there's far more to come! Oh and how could I forget - many thanks to my darling little sister (who will not doubt feature on this blog due to her olive complexion and long legs) for taking my picture!

Wearing:
Camila and Marc polka-dot blouse, Insight ripped beanpole jeans, Witchery cardigan, Marcus B leather boots (loving the contained cowgirl feel of these babies), and yes, a grey Supre singlet to keep me covered. The belt I got from New Zealand at a ridiculously reduced price (something like $500 to $80), yet for the life of me I can't remember the name of the boutique! And my Mikey Mouse watch from Disneyland rarely leaves my wrist!
So until next time amigos...
